looking into the wife having to fly over to TN. to meet up with me and ride back to washington, looking for anyone who would know the closest largest airport that she could fly into from seatac international. any help would be nice.
the ones listed on the hotel site are close but not sure how large to get a better price, looking like her flying is going to cost more than gas!!!!!
Thanks family

What about picking her up in St. Louis or Nashville?

I would pick Knoxville. Right now it looks like a cost anywhere from $300 to $600usd for one way. Alaska and then USAirways are your best low cost ones for her. But both are transfers or long waits.
Here's what I found....

I checked the American Express Sky Guide this morning. Knoxville is the closest airport with connections. The Holiday Inn map says it is 35 miles from Pigeon Forge.
Knoxville has connections to the following cities:
Allentown-PA, Atlanta, Auston-TX, Brownsville-TX, Charlotte-NC, Chicago, Cincinatti, Cleveland, Dallas, Des Moines, Detroit, Hartford-CT, Houston, Ithaca-NY, Jackson-MS, Jacksonville-NC, Lubbock-TX, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York (Weshchester, Newark), Norfolk-VA,Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa, Washington-DC, Baltimore-MD. Wichita.
I travel a lot so I usually look at the cities that you can connect to and try fair pairings to see what works.
Hope this helps.
