Vette(s): 1976 Brown with Buckskin Interior. I bought her on 9/15/03 and just received it on OCT 1st 2003!! It needs interior work, and some things under the hood, but I am so excited! Just waiting for Summer of 2004 to totally show it off.

I agree - the situation sounds really screwed up. However, I'm not sure I quite understand why the "military" reference is mentioned so many times in the story. Why should someone who is in the military get preferential treatment over someone else? Anyone who gets screwed by a shady business person like that should get restitution - regardless of what they do for a living.
I don't work in a high risk job, but if this were my situation, I would expect the same protection and assistance than the guy telling the story.
Am I missing something??

I agree to a point.. when he refernced his job to explain the inflexibility of his schedule it is certainly reasonable. you and I work in the same industry and have a certain degree of schedule flexibility... he has very little.. I would go out of my way to stay open longer for anyone who had a difficult time making it to my office by 5pm not just military/police/fire..
when he referenced it to illustrate that the guy should have been more considerate because of his service.. it probably is over the top.
serving in the military does not automatically cut you to the front of the line. I support our troops.. and my support is in sending money to non-profit support organizations. not voting for the people who got them there.. (this means both corrupt liars on a major ticket). but if someone is late paying me... i dont care who they are.. they all get treated the same.. (this also goes for white, black, latin, asian, atheist, christian, buddhist, muslim, quaker, gay, straight, bi, trans?, hippy, canadian, etc)
and before anyone makes a pinko commie remark.. i served in USMC and USMCR from 91 to 99

I saw a link to that thread on another forum. There's also a link somewhere in there to AMP's Outlaw website & forum. The owner is a real piece of work.
