Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.

Yes, I had no idea when I purchased the 1990 Jeep Wrangler a couple weeks ago that I would end up with almost the exact same camaraderie as I have experienced with the C3 crowd.  Jeeps drive past and wave!  (Much more than any C4 and/or C5 owners I've passed in my tenure as a Corvette owner!)  And I wave back.

Just thought I'd share my new experiences with you guys here, and let you know the wave is alive and well in Jeep country too!

It's sad that the newer vette owners are letting the wave die.

I think the wave is dying among newer Vette owners, because they are Vette "owners", NOT Vette enthusiasts!Disapprove

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

I used to own a CJ, so I can attest to the Jeep wave.

Keep in mind, when our cars were new many of the owners acted just like many of the C5 and C6 owners do now.  They were owners with a status symbol, and many are now.  As those cars age the enthusiasts will own them, and they will wave.
