I thank all of you for your support. Its hard to love someone who is perfect for me in almost all ways but one.
Throwing her out was the hardest thing I've ever done. We've had this argument at least a dozen times before and I couldnt take it anymore.
If she doesnt change then Im going to get one of my cop buddies to arrest her. Maybe this will stop her.

Don't really know ya ben but i do know that devil the bottle. I am a recovered drunk, addict. 13 years I drove drunk every day, thank God I never hurt any one. Old sayings and been there done that will not help the hurt and pain that you feel. You will work through it it will be hard and it could be the exact thing that every one needs, God knows i am no preacher but that dude up there has a way of laying out a very tough raod sometimes and if we make the tough decisions then we walk out the other side to a deeper clearer relationship sometimes it is with the same person some times not either way it is deeper and better. Good Luck and we are always here for you the vent and listen to. God Be with you and your wife and families..

Ben,
Really sorry to hear about all of this.
My only advice is this... if you are both wanting to save the marriage, you should go to counseling, especially D&A counseling for her. And you should go with her, if she's willing to have you there.
As others have said, she's got to WANT to save the marriage for any help to be effective.
Good Luck!

Hey Ben, all the guys are giving great advice and you probably have filtered it down to "SHE has to be willing to change".
Very true, you can bash your head against a brick wall trying, 'cause you love the girl. My only other word of advice is "YOU need to draw a line in the sand".
If she's not willing to cross it and come back to your side, you need to move on. Counselling will help, but again She needs to cross the line and be willing to do it. You obviously are.
Use Mr Walker for fun and relaxation not to drown sorrows and sleep. You've obviously been there so you know how fast the darkness appears.
We're all feeling for you and I'd love to offer some support in person but 15000 miles stops me.
If all else fails, you still have your other love!

Hey, Ben. Been out of town for a couple of weeks so just getting caught up. Sorry to hear what you're going thru. Never having been an alcoholic, and married to the same woman for 33 years doesn't make me an expert, but I have to commend you for the power of your convictions, if as you say this is her only vice, albeit a mighty big one. You've received some great advice from the rest here, so there's really nothing more to be said.Maybe this is all the more reason to try to make to c3x?
HAng in ther, buddy.

her inability to remove her brain container from her waste cavity was at the core of our problems..
she has had 3 weeks to reevaluate her life... if she can't come to a decision in 3 weeks.. I dont want her...
believe me... at this point... there is no turning back.. I made sure of that...
