I think it would be so great if the fans would go on strike. I went to my first minor league baseball game this summer. Ticket was $5 and I thought it was more fun.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
|QUOTE|fun71 said: The only way this issue will go away is if someone organizes the fans to go on strike. $80/ticket for seats at Yankee Stadium. Not for me. As long as we (fans) keep buying tickets & keep paying for premium cable TV, the issue of "who shares in the billions" will go on. Take your family to a minor league game. (We have the Bridgeport Bluefish here in CT) -- it's a lot more fun & you get to return home with some money in your wallet!

Last year, I had free tickets in the 5th row, next to the Cardinal dugout, along with a free parking pass, and it still cost me $100 dollars to go to the game. $4.50 for a doggone soda. Nachos $4.50 for a small plate. Little bitty ice cream on a stick $2.50. We took my Daughter and her husband, and we bought everything. Amazing how much junk you can eat in 3 hours. The tickets were reg $35 ea

Sat night, I want to the Rams football game, and a beer was $5.50 each. It don't take long to spend a chunk of money there too. Then they messed around and got beat too. pre season games are just warm ups for the real thing. The Rams will be in San Diego in Jan of 2003 for the big game, super bowl XXXV..... |thumb| |thumb| |thumb| |wink| . And this time they won't lose!!!! |cheers|

I'm sure the rest of you will feel a little different about that though ..... |smile| THE GREATEST SHOW ON TURF!!!!! |cool|

Wouldn't it be nice if they had pre-season prices for food and tickets at a pre-season game? And maybe even pre-season salarys?
