too harsh?
there's this chick in town that drives a 1997 Mitsu 3000GT...basically, the car I really want to get as a daily driver, only hers is an SL, and I want the twin-turbo all wheel drive VR4...but same year, same body, same pretty pearl white paint...anyway, Breanna knows about her, I've mentioned her whenever I saw her out driving...told Brea about the day I saw the car out with a Papa John's Pizza sign on it. anyway...
tonight, I was out in the stingray...my first REAL night on the town since I've had it back. came across the 3000, and followed it to a stoplight....pulled up next to it and spoke to her for the first time.
"hey...effin nice car."
"you too!"
"you hungry?"
"...kinda..."
"good, let's go eat."
we meet at McDonald's, and instead of going in, we just sit outside in the parking lot for about half an hour, bsing...talking about cars. while we're there, Brea calls...and I tell her to call me back later, that I'm out with the 3000GT chick...so Brea agrees, semi-offendedly, and gets off the phone. then 3000 girl gets a phone call and has to take off, after giving me her phone number.
I go to work, and about an hour later, Breanna calls again. I felt like being an ass, so...
"hello?"
"hi there."
"damn it, you woke Alyssa up."
"...EXCUSE ME?!"
of course I was kidding, and she knows this now...but maybe she still thinks that if she wants me back, Lyssa would be a contender...because I didn't tell her that Lyssa smokes, and likes camaros more than vettes . badass girl, but for my tastes, good for a friend only, nothing more. anyway...am I a huge dick? or did Brea deserve a burn?

So let me get this straight...you prefer a girl who cheats (and will continue to do so) and is 900 miles away to a girl who is local, has a lot in common with you and OBVIOUSLY likes you?

lol...well, this Alyssa chick is really cool...but totally not dating material for me...not the kind of girl I want. plus she smokes. she'd be a great friend, but beyond that, I see nothin. countdown...7 days from now until Brea's up here. we'll see how things go.
in the meantime...can I direct you all to my engine thread, I've got a question.

This is a forum about corvettes. If you have problems with your car maybe someone can help. If you have issues in your life...try Dear Abbey,Dr. Phil or some other resource.
We all have issues but I think we discuss them with the appropriate parties. Relationship problems don't belong on a car enthusiasts site.
Perhaps you were just misguided in bringing them up here.
Good luck to you.

pardon? I had assumed that the name of this particular section of the forum was "general non-vette discussion." I came here for advice because the people I converse with on this forum are older than me, wiser than me, and some have been through what I am going through now. to my knowledge, there are no official rules regarding what can and cannot be posted on this forum, provided it does not offend others. if I have offended you in some way, my apologies. however, if you're going to lecture me about discussing non-automotive topics on this forum, perhaps you should begin lecturing at least 85% of the others that have subscribed to this site. until then, pull the stick out.
