About 3 months ago I posted that my 8 year old pup (Bravo) had been diagnosed with bone cancer (Osteosarcoma). He had undergone surgery to remove the leg and slow down this incurable disease.
Since the operation, he had been doing extremely well. A few days ago, he started to decline. Monday, July 5th, he lost his battle with this horrible disease. The cancer had spread to his spine causing neurological damages to the point where he could no longer walk as well as other body functions were failing at almost an hourly rate.
Bravo is now out of his pain and he's moved on to the Rainbow Bridge (the following link explains what Rainbow Bridge is: http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm
Many of you who so kindly responded to my first post regarding Bravo, asked to be kept up to date. Thanks again for you kind words and support. Myself, my family and Bravo's 12 year old mother (Aria) are struggling with the loss. We have a great support group through Friends and family though and we're working on the healing process now.

So sorry to hear about your loss Eric. Do know what you are feeling because we lost our lab (Cinder) after 15 years. They are family and there is no easy way to deal with it. Just remember all the good times.
Sorry.

Very sorry to hear the news about your pup.
I always wanted a dog when I was a child but my mom would never let me have one.
I finally got one (a Golden Retriever) after I bought a house. He's 4 years old now. I'm expecting the day he goes to doggy heaven will be a REALLY bad day in this house.

You have my support and understanding. My family has always thought our pets as a full family member. My beautiful German Shepherd is now 12 1/2 years old and in the twilight of her life. Watching her age and see her frustration at not being as strong and agile as she once was sorrows me as she still has the heart and soul of a puppy.
Your hurt is our hurt. Life goes on. Nothing but the best to you and your family.
