Looking for some input here. I having a problem with my 1996 Ford Explorer heater/aircondition blower motor. It has been working and then not working. When it works the fan will operate in all fan speeds. When it deosn't no fan speeds at all. I have already changed the fan control switch, no luck. I believe it is now one of the following, (1) the blower motor resistor assembly which is attached to the housing adjacent to the fan motor, or (2) it is the fan motor itself. I feel a trace cold air coming from the vents so the A/C is working properly. I also checked the fuse panel and everything is fine. Thanks.

The high speed does not go throught the blower resistors, so the resistors are not the problem. A bad connection may be. I would start by checking the ground from the motor.

Motors are usually not intermittent. Much more likely a bad connection.
