I've known about Pandora for a while, it's so cool. I'll have to check out Slacker when I get home from work, the security settings here won't let me check it out. Thanks!

There's prolly a good reason for that!
I have tried in the past to d-load music files from some of these places, such as Limewire, etc....my virus/anti-spyware software says
"NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
I have learned to accept whatever the software tells me is bad for my 'puter health. I'll just listen to talk radio...

Adam-
Limewire, Kazaa, Bearshare....etc. These are file sharing software. Those are bad almost everyday I am advising and removing those from people's computers. They allow other users to get into your hard drive and install spyware which is hard to get rid of. I don't claim to be a P.C. genius, I always run virus checks on anything I get from the net. Work network computers are set for administrators .
When I try to access> my work website from home I have to turn off all kinds of security settings or give it permanent permission.
I have been using these sites for awhile and they seem safe, but if anyone has doubts... always best to be safe.

Yeah, yer prolly OK as far as these sites...I'm just REALLY paranoid...I've got 5 'puters in my storage place that got loaded up with spyware...I don't want to take any chances with this one...Mama would kill me iffin I said, "Honey...we gotta go back to Fryes and get new 'puter..."

I'll throw this one out there, It's totally legit no worries. Aside from anti virus and firewall software being a little too trigger happy sometimes, these days I would be more worried about the copyright lawyers come knocking at your door. P2P software like limewire, kazaa, (bearshare is notorious) don't use it if you don't know how it works.
There is a growing number of "groups" now that are pretty pro-active about tracking down who's sharing what and where. So it's always good to be paranoid, especailly if you could get in trouble.
