Mine came from boating..Wanted to name the boat give-a-sh** but the wife came up with.....

Mine is for two reasons...I'm a long-time firearms collector and used to be a Federal law enforcement officer and firearms instructor and competitor. Just love the .45 ACP...the 11th Commandment says "they all fall to hardball!"

Mine's a nickname from high school based on my family tree.  Even tho' I'm a 3rd generation American I have more living relatives in Norway than I do in the U.S.

On other sites or e-mail realms I've added my street address for a tie-breaker (Norsky4360).

Sportivo is simply italian for "sporty" (which my LT-1 definitely is)!

High school nickname.....friends said I looked like "Jimi Hendrix Experience" bass player, Noel Redding.....NOT ANYMORE!!!!

When I started flying on Helo's, last name (fleming) just kind of evolved into "flem". Also my job is a helicopter gunners so............
"Flemgunner"

I bought my Vette after I came home from Iraq . Last name is actually Lukas. All my soldiers called me SGT Luke - name stuck. When they saw the car after we came home, one of my troop's said " Check out Lukes Vette!".

I know - a lot of wind for such a dopey story

But I'll keep that "nick" for the rest of my life....

I wanted three other names for my vette but all where taken buy some other '82 CE's in my state.

So I went to my best Rock-N-Roll bands first name(Iron Maiden).  Then reading the name, it also made me think.   IRON = Strength.   Neat!

Well you know the 82 stands for.
