I know this seems like a strange nick for a Corvette guy so here goes.

As long as I remember I have had some sort of Jeep and my friends used to call me nutz on the trails. (maybe my driving skills?)

About 8 years ago or so I started building a 1970 CJ5 Jeep to give myself and my boys a direction to go in after becoming single again. It kind of got out of hand  and one of the guys at the shop named it Cj5nutz. Now half the people I know think my name is CJ. I am getting older and more senile so the thought of creating another nick at this point confuses me to even think about it.

Here is a link to my off road page

and my off road photo album.

The Jeep thing has helped bridge the gap between myself and my  boys for years making the money spent  and the hours of sacrifice well worth it.

Hope to meet each and every one of you somewhere on the road as we enjoy our Corvettes !           ;  ~Nutz~

Awesome Jeep!!! Before I came to the land of the lowriders I spent most of my time bent over the hood/fender or sitting up under some mud laden piece of off road enjoyment.
My last Jeep was a 78 CJ7 with 38" Ground Hawgs, 3" body, 4" lift with axles flipped. It had lotsa other goodies and I miss it to this day.
Your website is pretty cool and brought back some fun memories of days gone by and a few friends whom I wish were still here to enjoy them. Thanks!!!

Thanks !  My 16 year old son drove the Jeep for the first time today, he is still cheesing. I took a video of him driving it around  here and made him a CD to show all his friends back home .  He was trying to upload the video but its hard to find a host for 69 mb videos.

That video will be priceless someday as he looks back (a little then & now) I expect he will loose some of that cheesyness after he drop the headlight down under the water and it hold on baby were commin through!
We spent lotsa weekends runnin the railroad maintenance drive. (20 miles of cinder, mud, and hidden dropoffs. It was a weekly thing to find trucks buried in a line working together to pull each other out. Or just people layin in the beds and laughin at each others plight.
It was very common for my wife to hear the rumble of my now deceased buddy "Big Mikes" highly modified Dodge Powerwagon 440 (appropriately named WHATEVER. Then on came the 10 KC daylighters to light up our bedroom (neighborhood) at hoot owl o'clock in the morning. This was usually followed by the distant gigles and the telltale call "Can Larry Come out an Play" We would usually both get up and off to play in the Mud we would go.
My last truck was a 86 Ford with 3" body / 4" spring, 35' Mud TA's ladder bars, modified 302,w/4sp. Named the MAD HADDER. Good Tymes Good Memories... THANKS AGAIN!
