Hey guys.... I decided to start my own clothing line. I got some free advertising set up that will most definatly get my name out there! Just wanted to see what you guys thought:
Here is what I ahve so far:
http://trashedyouth.com/classified_temp_1/ I'm thinking of changinf the shirts, I'm still not sure, however most ppl said that they would 'sport' or 'rock' them....

this is a cool way to raise some $$ for your vette

I think you are off to a good start. Keep going. We may see a lot of your stuff in the future. The guy who owns Summit Racing started it in his basement selling to his buddies at a discount, just to save a few bucks on parts for his car.
Give it a shot!

Hopefully you've done your homework on copyrights, logo registrations and such! The symbol you use looks awfully close to the Independent logo you can find in any Pac Sun store here in the Great Lakes area.
If I'm not mistaken that symbol started out as a religious symbol so maybe you'll be okay, but if I were you I'd make sure before I sold even one T-shirt, hat or thong. If you get into a copyright infringement lawsuit, every bit of profit you make from your sales will more than likely be taken from you by the registered owner of that copyrighted material.
Not trying to rain on your parade. Just want to make sure you are doing everything by the book, and protecting yourself from future problems that could be avoided with up front planning and research.
If I were still a "trashed youth" I might seriously consider buying one of the T-shirts, but unfortunately I'm now "Married with Children" and I KNOW that copyright is taken!
Congrats,
Hey guys,
Thanks for looking at my stuff. I like the feedback. Sevral teens in my school (including a girl that wears hollister, and abercrombie & fitch) said they would wear my clothes just becasue of the name. However I have never seen that symbol on a PAC SUN shirt or what not around here in vegas. However I do know that several other companies use it. Bikers use it, skaters use it. A lot of other off-brand comapines in the store Hot TOpic put it on belts and hats andd shirts and stuff. However I am looking for someone to draw my logo in photoshop and replace it with the trash can......

images from 'Dover' clip art books (any big art store) and recreate them in
your own style. They have the Iron Cross in some of their books. AFTER
SHARK is right though, even a copyright free image becomes a corp. logo
if they regestered the copyright (for exact size and colors and usually a
font typeface). Just put your own flair into it (don't copy the look/colors of
any exsisting logo) and you'll be ok. The basic iron cross is still copyright
free. But search before you use is good advice.....
Louis, you can check out some of my designs at my web, there are some
Iron Crosses in there somewhere.
