Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
COMING SOON!

I am sorry but after hearing they want to sing the National Anthem in Spanish - enough is enough. Nowhere did they sing it in Italian, Polish, Irish (Celtic), German or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written. The news broadcasts even gave the translation -- not even c lose. Sorry if this offends anyone but this is MY COUNTRY - IF IT IS YOUR COUNTRY SPEAK UP -- please pass this along.
I am not against immigration -- just come through like everyone else. Get a sponsor; have a place to lay your head; have a job; pay your taxes, live by the rules AND LEARN THE LANGUAGE as all other immigrants have in the past -- and NO EXCEPTIONS!
PART OF THE PROBLEM
Think about this: If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone -- YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM!
It is Time for America to Speak up
If you agree -- pass this along, if you don't agree -- delete it!
Yep, I passed it on!

I agree.
I think it's a big insult to the people that immigrated here and studied the American History, English language, etc. to become American Citizens. If I was one of them, I would be pissed
(excuse-em-wa) at what the Illegal Alien's are trying and are getting by with.

What part of ILLEGAL is so hard to comprehend?

Jim, you left out one reqirement, LEARN TO DRIVE!!!!. My Son has had two cars totaled in the past three years, both wrecks caused by illegal aliens... oops, I mean "undocumented workers"..........gee, I hope I didnt offend anyone. The first one was a drunk illegal with no insurance, improperly registered vehicle. The second one just couldnt drive. Thankfully my son wasnt hurt seriously in either wreck.
My wife becomes an American citizen tomorrow. She entered this country legally, waited her time, studied, took her test and filled all the blocks.
Needless to say I have a huge problem with amnesty or any other form of appeasement on this issue. My wife has managed gas stations and now is a Realtor. SHe took all the tests given to her and paid all the fees in all cases. She has a language that she speaks that is not English but she never asked anyone to learn hers.
Did I mention, I'm very proud of her.

Congrats to the little Lady, Jim!! You should be proud of her!
We see all the bashing and bad-mouthing, but rarely does anyone mention the ones that actually DO do what's required to become American citizens.
I have a good friend that came here as a war refugee. He spent the time to go thru all of the stuff he needed to do to become a citizen. It wasn't easy, but he was determined to do it, and he did. These are the kind of people I don't have a problem with at all. It's the ones that sneak over here illegally, and then INSIST that this country change the rules specifically for them.
Don't see much of that happening from any other country's people, tho. Never heard of any Canadians insisting we should sing the National Anthem in French...or that all of the street signs should be posted in Japanese...
sigh.........................

Congratulations to your wife Jim!
As for the others that continue to want to come to this country and enjoy the benefits it offers, I couldn't agree more. They need to work hard both at jobs and at learning the language; they need to follow the laws; and they need to PAY THEIR TAXES!!! If they want to benefit and send their kids to school, they need to pay for it.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
Ditto on the above, from both my wife and myself. She's English--but she still has had to go through all the same procedures--years' worth, and many hundreds of dollars' worth--in order to follow the legal immigration process. It irritates the h*ll out of her to hear the excuses and political finagling that's going on in this country, when she's done it by the book.
Problem is, too many Americans just don't want to/won't do the jobs any longer that the illegals are willing to do. Living in Northern California as we did, every day you can see groups of Hispanic men standing along certain roadways, waiting to be picked up for low-level (non-union) construction day jobs and similar work. There are never any non-Hispanics there.
Go into the Central Valley, and look who's picking the lettuce.
Our politicians know the uproar that would occur if food prices went up because they force illegal workers to leave, and farmers have to pay American workers a lot more to do the job. (Assuming they could get enough American workers to do this hard labor!) That's why both parties are maneuvering to find some sort of 'solution' to the immigration issue. They don't want to upset the apple cart. Namely, us.
We're accustomed to cheap food, just as we're addicted to petroleum in this country--seemingly no matter how high imported oil goes in price. They're opposite sides of the same coin. And our elected representatives are not going to do anything too radical, that might just cost them their jobs next time we head to the voting booth.
I used to laugh every time I saw some local politican--or talking head--on TV sounding off about immigration. Because chances are, their grass is being mowed by an 'undocumented' person. And Heaven forbid that they might actually have to blow their own leaves off the driveway...

I cut me own grass, AND blow the leaves out into the middle of the street meself...I'll be doing me own roofing, too. There are others that will fill in the jobs the "Undocumented" ones are doing now. Everyone says different, but...how do you know??? It's time we at least TRIED it before condemning it. The whole idea of amnesty for illegals(and that's exactly what it is) is absurd. Might as well let Manson out, too.

Jim, I'm sure you are proud of her and you should be as she should be proud of herself. She overcame many hurdles and it's to her credit that she has accomplished so much.
