Cool Garages?????

Are you NUTS ????

The old saying is that "Your Stuff" expands to fill all your available space...and I now 60...been a pack rat all my life..."MY STUFF" is pretty extensive...

SO

Give me some MORE ROOM anyday... I could care less what the inside looks like..just want a place available to stuff my stuff into...

Vette(s): 1969 Daytona Yellow Coupe - ZZ4/4 speed, Hurst shifter, Griffin aluminum radiator w/ Dual Spals, March Serpentine Pulley kit, Hookers with STS Racing Baffles, VB&P Suspension bits, 17" AR Hopsters, L-88 Hood
Found these pics of a couple of cool garages...neither are mine, but I wish. I once appraised a house where the owner installed a $50,000 black granite floor in the garage. It was unbelievable but I can think of an infinite number of things I could spend that kind of scratch on other than an floor.
I'm going to get to mine someday...it's already drywalled but I want to do the floor and get some better lights.

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.
I'm speechless...that's absolutely perverted! I could never swing anything like that.

Maybe when I get done with the L-71, I'll just empty the shop/garage and hire a decorator? |devil|

Very Cool |cool| . Is the black and white tile just the garden variety from Lowes? Is the emblem hand painted or decal?

Yes the floor is "the garden variety". It's the same type they use in supermarkets, K-marts etc. Very inexpensive and durable. Around .55 a sq foot. It's glued down, but easy to change 1 tile if something would happen to it. I've had it down for around 2 years now, with no problems at all. Spills clean up easy, and I don't mind crawling under the car. The work area is gray and sets the B/W apart. The emblem on the wall is all mine. Freehand pencil then paint. If it was a decal I could have sold about 25 of the so far |laugh| Good luck with what ever you decide on. Let me know if you have any other questions. |cheers|

You know you have to draw the line someplace. I do know that when you get to be my age rolling around on a creeper just isn't as much fun as it used to be. Those 4 post and 2 post lifts are not super expensive anymore. They might not be substantial enough for a heavy truck, but more then enough for a vette or the family car.

Tony, you've got no problem with the heat from the exhaust when you park on it? I'm having a new floor poured in mine and I'm trying to decide what to do with the floor. This looks very cool |thumb|

No problems with the exhaust heat at all. The tiles are really durable. Direct flame will melt them, but anythiong else it will take.
