A friend of mine has a 1998 Dodge Durango SLT. His driver's door won't open from the inside. Was curious if anyone had any ideas where to start on a fix for that. If it is something simple enough to fix without a degree in advanced mechanics.
Anythoughts Appreciated.

Usually a linkage rod clip has come loose or broke, and the rod has come loose. Getting the door panel off is the hardest part, as long as you can reach the link.
Not a bad job.

I have a '98 Durango SLT+ with a 5.9L/360, full/part 4wd, infinity sound, rear air, leather & tow package. It's been a great vehicle & it's in great condition -- just hit 60,000 miles. Tires replaced at 42,000 still have good treads. (My only problem ever was "sticky seat belts" that were occasionally hard to release. Never had the door release issue mentioned above.)
I now have use of a company car & don't use the Durango regularly. I was hoping to get $11,500 for it. I'm in CT just at the I-84 border with NY. I'd be happy to e-mail info or set up a test drive.
PS -- Happy New Year to all C3VR's !!
