[QUOTE=Adams' Apple]Hmmm....I don't consider being born in Texas, USA an accident...my ancestry goes back to the founding fathers of this country.
The lifestyle they are supposedly trying to get away from, they carry on here...it's just that I have to pay for it, while they send their money back to the country they don't like...

That's what I don't get!!! Even our upper scale neighborhoods are becoming trashed! Dave and I couldn't afford to live in one of these nice neighborhoods, but they can and then they trash them and so more Americans move out so more illegals move in and before you know it what was once an upper scale neighborhood is now slums. Now we can afford to live there since the property values are way down, but who wants to now. They don't like home, but yet they are making the USA look like home.
They come here to better themselves by bringing us down to their level.
The "real" reason they are coming here in droves is because they are wanting to take back what was once their land. Wake up America!!! The liberals JUST DON'T GET IT! When we fought them for the land (and ended up paying them for it anyway) it was raw land. Now it's built up with cities, etc. Want to give it back to them? Then bulldoze it back to raw land. There ya go.
I better shut up now because I do not have very many nice things to say. I am fed up!

Yes Blue-79, I have walked around Mexico even worked there with my company. I have traveled in the Philippines and since I don't drink, I was sober and not stumbling from one bar to another.
I do agree with you on the fact that it is depressing and most anyone living under those conditions would like to have a better life for themselves and their family.
I am not against immigration. I am against anyone from any country coming into our country illegal. If they want to enter the US, let them go to the US embassy in their country and file for a visa. Let them get police clearance, fingerprinted and a passport. When they get here, let them file for a worker's permit, social security card and a permanent resident card. Let them pay taxes like all the rest of the hard working American citizens and not put a burden on our social services and medical system at taxpayer's expense.
My wife came here from the Philippines where the unemployment rate is over 50%. She came from what us here in the US would consider a very poor family. Since her parents were not able to send her to college, she worked a full-time job at night and attended college during the day, graduating with a 4 year degree in Information Technology. Since getting here legally, she has sent 3 of her brothers and sisters through college. Her brother is now a marine engineer and her sister is a nurse. A younger sister has 2 more years before graduating.
I certainly agree with Warbird when he stated that we should contact our representatives in the House and Senate about our views on the proposed immigration bill. It's illegal for any of us to commit a crime here. Coming into this country illegally is a crime and anyone who does it should be deported back to the country of their origin, not given amnesty.

Joel and Jim are right on the money. The
problem is they are not only breaking the law, they are snubbing there
noses at those that attempt to enforce those laws. We are a country
that depends on the rule of law. Many smart men figured out hundreds of
years ago the roadmap for our Republic. It is all based on the rule of
law. When the liberals convince everyone else that it is okay to pick
and choose the laws that we want to obey and just forget the rest then
we cannot exist as a free country. We are rapidly approaching chaos.
You must let your congressional delegation know how you feel about
their watered down bill. And for the record I have never nor do I plan
to go walk throughtthe filth in Mexico. I still like it here.
