Megan got her driver license today. 
Due to the historic insurance on the Vette, she still cannot drive it until she is 25. 
Of course, I don't have to go out and pick her up from work tonight. 
Nothing like it to make a Dad nervous. But she has a better car than what I drive to work. She has a 97 Chevy Monte Carlo bought from my sisters boyfriend. Very well cared for. 
I'm not sure if this is going to be easier or harder on me??? 
I survived when my oldest started driving, I guess I will this time as well. At least she had a good driving instructor. Me. And I still have some hair left! 
And just as we speak (type), she came in the door for the night. First day down. Thousands to go.

It is a strange feeling to watch them drive off that 1st time huh Ken?
A mixture of pride and uncertainty. Almost overwhelming with emotions.
I remember my oldest driving the Blackray up on a curb on the way home form receiving her license.
It was before paint and $$$ were thrown into it later in the year. It was more fun to watch her expression and now to recant the memory than to give her the Devil at the time.
But then at 5' 1" seeing over the wheel wasn't exactly easy.... what was I thinking?
Then came daughter #2 driving away in the rain on day 1. Me watching with discomfort....
5 days later I am looking for the Rt front fender, hood, grill, headlight assembly, etc. for a 01 Saturn.
Tux's Body Shop has returned to My Vette Garage and Vettes have been displaced to another location to make room for their little sister the SC2 plastic Vette starter kit.
No accidents since and that was 2 yrs ago "Knock On Wood".
May God be their Co-Pilot as they are away from us!

And no, her Monte Carlo is white. I can't teach her everything. Some she has to learn for herself.
