I SWEAR My friends and I started earth day back in the 70's. Thats what we called it, except our earth day included a keg of beer and a party on the beach. We didn't plant any trees but prolly did pee on a few. Every spring we would go to this secluded beach in Guilford, CT and throw an "Earth Day" Party

Hey Mark, We use to do the same thing, but we would go to Millers pond in Durham. We could get there ok, but man we had a heck of a time finding our way back home. Probably find high concentrations of aluminum ore in the ground to this day.

darn I think I've been to Miller's Pond One Earth Day party a friends German Shepard lapped so much beer off the top of the keg that they didn't see him for three days
