Vette(s): 1974 CORVETTE, WHITE ON BLACK LEATHER. CAR HAD BEEN SITTING IN A GARAGE FOR THE PAST 9 YEARS AND ORIGINALLY WAS BOUGHT IN HAWAII AND STAYED THERE UNTILL 1994. THE ENGINE WAS MODIFIED IN HAWAII. IT HAS THE STOCK WHEELS, PAINT AND INTERIOR.
The song I like is Ramble Tamble by CCR. Favorite station would be 97.3 (KBSG) Seattle and when I get in the Oregon area it is 97.1 (KISN) I love my oldies almost as much as I LOVE MY VETTE. |saluteflag|

ZZ Top

80s Hair Metal... |laugh|

Assorted Eagles tunes (Life in the Fast Lane comes to mind), Blues, anything with a good guitar sound.

Music has to be something heavy... The Corvette is a muscle machine and the music needs to reflect that, plus it has to overpower the wind/engine/exhaust noise. |toungecool| I favor Tristania, Iced Earth, Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, and Children of Bodom. Feeling nostalgic, I'll let my mullet down and go for early Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Blue Oyster Cult, and Rush.

Just installed an mp3-compatible head unit. Loving the ability to play back hours of music without changing discs.

51 and counting. Love the 50s and 60s music, doo wop, etc. If the radio, tape deck or CD isn't on, I'm listening to the sounds of my exhaust.

Vette(s): 1971 Corvette Coupe 454/365 Mulsanne Blue, 99% restored to stock 454/365
Love the late 50's Rock. Grew up in NY, listened to Alan Freed every night. First vette was 59 with two 4s back in 62. Kept it 4 yrs and had to move to France so I had to sell it. Next was a 69 bought in 75. In 86, Judge gave it to my ex but it wound up with my son. He still has it and it is beautiful. Every time I visited him, I told him I wanted it back. Father's day 1997, he (now a lawyer)told me to come get my present. I thought it would be another shirt and tie. Pulled up in his drive and there sat a 71 454 coupe in pretty good shape. Won't admit how many $$$$ it took to get it totally back to stock, showroom condition but it is. I will be 63 next month so all you whippersnappers are warned about pulling up next to a bumper car, mulsanne blue, with an old man behind the wheel. He's been known to blow doors off.
