Well fellow C3ers....my puter crashed Sunday night!!!! What a nightmare!!!!!
I just got it back today...had to reinstall just about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my hard drive was Kaputzz!!!!! lost just about everything...

Bummer!!!!

But have starting getting things back together again!

HEY HEY!!!! Great to see you!! Someone had noted that after the post contest ended the forums got very quiet...but looking back, I think that things got quieter when you lost your computer good luck getting everything back and don't let the C3 call too loudly, or you'll never get the computer back!! Take care of yourself!

well so far so good...got the ''chat'' programs back....I lost ALL my WAV files..and my desktop enhancements..*sigh*...gonna be days,weeks..months before I get all that back!!! I had 3 years worth of stuff!!!!!
good thing I did have some stuff backed up on a ZIP disk!!!! ..now if I can just get the DAMN printer to work!!!!!!!!!

Dang Deb, that's horrible for you! I agree, when you don't have the computer, you really miss them! lol How'd we get along without them for so long?

It wasn't very pretty here for a couple of days!!!!!!!!!!

But got it up and running again.....managed to reinstall my printer/scanner//digital camera stuff...so all that works again...and of course had to re download all the CHAT programs!!
Good thing I got a good memory!!! got alot of my bookmarks back again! still probably some that I haven't thought about .....yet....but I will!!!

Glad you're back. Sounds like it is time to upgrade that computer of yours. Install a CD burner and buy a copy of Nortons Ghost and use it to image your hard drive then if it crashes all you need to do is put the new hard drive in and run the image from the CD. You are all back up and running is less than 30 minutes.

I agree about the CD Burner , But this little episode set me back MORE than enough!!!

I am going on vacation in 2 weeks...don't need to be spending any more money!!!!

I saw that Norton Ghost at the computer place...wondered what it was....will definitely have to look into that!!!!!
