Hi,
The CZ is a very good gun, not really familiar with the RAMI model, but if it is based on the CZ 75, ought to be a winner... as is the Glock(for weight)... might also consider a Para-Ordanance 6.45 LDA. I've heard nothing but praise on the LDA, very smooth triggers. That is if a .45acp is your thing. Infact, my carry is a .45, nothing like throwing boulders at bad guys eh?...

I have has many friends and some family that have been officers. I enjoy target and skeet shooting. I haven't done either for a while. When I want a bang, I work on my vette.

They had these when I joined the USMC.. too bad they were all worn out. Never got to fire one that wasnt about to fall apart..
when they changed to the m-9 Beretta I went from marksman on pistol to expert..
I didnt like the "wimpiness" of the m-9 but it was damn sure easier to clean.. hit it with the air compressor and wipe it down with "clp", the 45 was a three hour ordeal..

Gunslinger,
You were a Federal Officer? Glad to see you made it to the end of your tour O.K. I'm a Police Officer here in my hometown, and our current issue is the Beretta 96D.
.40cal. with the Trijicon night sights. We have the 11-round mags. x3 for belt carry. We used to carry the S&W model 681 .357 magnum six-wheel. A dinosaur at best, but I could blast one hole in a target, no matter how many rounds were fired into it. Man, I really miss that thing. She served me well. I actually said goodbye to her when we switched.
My personal carrys are both S&W. The Sigma series is a favorite of mine. I have the .380 that fits in my sock if I need it to, and the beautiful .40 cal. with two 15 round mags, and a LaserMax integrated laser sight. There have been times when I've carried all of these on me, unfortunately, the job dictates this sometimes.
Well, I have to say, we have the best armed vette group that I've ever heard of. Chick, you're allright in my book.

9mm Beretta, M16-A2 Service rifle, and if the situation warrants the M-2 .50 Cal throwing depleted uranium volkswagens down range...

Just so everyone knows - .45 ACP stands for Automatic COLT Pistol! A classic round for a classic pistol. It's about as obsolete as tomorrow.
Being realistic, it's not for everyone unless they're willing to be properly trained in the "cocked and locked" mode of use. Otherwise...stick to a revolver.
Before I retired, I worked for two different Federal agencies in and around DC. At one I carried a Smith & Wesson revolver (Model 64). At the other, a S&W 4046, which is what I referred to as a boat anchor. I liked my revolver much better. I never felt underarmed with a revolver. It's only a tool, not a death ray. You still have to know what you're doing. Anyone I ever stuck the muzzle of a revolver under their nose went along with me just nicely.
As to the Glock 30...I have one and like it, though Glocks aren't my favorite pistols, it is a good one. I also favor the H&K line as well. Their USP and USP Compacts in .45 ACP are awesome pistols (do I see a bias toward the .45 here?). There is one rule of ballistics I believe in - Big Bullets Make Things Move!
Between my Corvettes and my Dodge Charger, my firearm collecting (Colts, Weatherby's and US military for the most part), it can keep one broke. It's a good thing I'm independently wealthy (I wish!) to keep up with it all.
