Hello,
With my son driving now it brought back memories of my first car. I had a 71 Camaro Z-28 clone. It was Kelly green w/white stripes, and Crager S/S rims. I loved that car and had lots of good times in it. Anyone else have a cool first car?
Chris

my first car wasn't cool, a 61 Ford pickup BUT my second car was a 69 HURTS/OLDS with a 455 under the hood. White and gold with a big hood scoop and a wing on the back. only 906 were made.

My first pair of motorized wheels was a Bridgestone 175cc Sport Twin motorcycle that I bought from a high school friend without either set of parents knowing about it. Needless to say that didn't go over very well once the word got out...!!! But it did put some added importance behind my quest for buying a car.
A neighbor across the street was a salesman at a local car dealership and my folks must have given him some parameters in what to look for in a car for me. Little did they know that those parameters brought home for inspection a parade of perfect date/party wheels that weren't to high on the "cool" scale but high on the "practical" scale (like a '63 Mercury Monteray 4 door "barge" with the drop down rear window and a HUGE back seat
).
I eventually found a '68 Chevelle Malibu 2-door hardtop that fit the "cool" factor AND my budget. That is one of several of the cars I've owned over the years that I'd like to have back in the driveway again (along with the '69 Cougar, '75 Corolla ES, and '83 Supra to mention a few).

first car: 1968 Olds Cutlass S 2dr. Rally Red/Black vinyl top, 350 Rocket/Turbo 400, Cragar SST's/ "50's" on the rear/"pizza cutters" on the front. Came equipped with a fair amount of "bondo" to. lol. What a "chick magnet" that car was though! Lots of fun with and in that car. Man, now I'm bummed out! I wanna go back and be 16 yrs. old again.

Vette(s): Re-acquired 1982 Bright Blue Vette from the guy a sold it to 13 years ago. 1993 40th Anniv. Ruby Convertible- purchased for my wifes 40th birthday-It has Chromed Grand Sport Wheels, Grand Sport Flares and a functional rollbar.
Mine was a 1973 Nova SS, 350-4bbl, Hurst 4 on the floor. For a Nova it was loaded, PS, PB, AC, 8-track, tilt, nice herring bone fabric bucket seats and the console with the Z28 gauge cluster. It was burnt orange with a black vinyl half roof. It had a hatchback and a rear glass defroster (a blower fan). It had dual exhaust and black rally stripes. The grill, tail lights and the rally wheels were all blacked out. It was sooo cool. I want that car back.
