Friday I drove the vette to a shop one of my students owns.  We installed the exhaust system, which required a bit of custom bending, and he has the equipment.

ANYWAY,,  I passed 8 cops all with radar in a 23 mile span, and followed another for about a 1.4 mile.  No one stopped me.  Granted I never even touched the speed limit.  Did I metion, I had just installed the headers, and the pipes etc were inside the car?  Yep driving with open headers!  And 9 cops let me go on by.  I had the system in the car and could easily explain I was on my way to an exhaust shop, so I wasn't worried.  But I really expected to get pulled over and questions.  Guess they were just after speeders.

Gotta love them Washington Trooprs.  I had my new Vette like 14 hours before one pulled me over I saw him up ahead (I was only doing 60mph) so I slowed down to like 57-58ish. He pulls out behind me on I-5, so I slow down to like 55, and now hes doing 55, I slow down to 50, now hes doing 50.  Keep in mind we are not in the same lane   Well next thing I know he gets right behind me and throws on the lights.  He pulled me over for expired tags, apparently the paper temps fell off the back window and I didn't know it. He looked in the back and said "there it is, maybe you should tape it up better" Then he says "nice car, your free to go now"
