Yeah, The Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Look at that HAIR. Lost in Space was the highlight of my week. And Mister Ed, Gomer Pyle, My Favorite Martian, Gilligans Island and on and on.
We got married in '74 and didn't have a TV for the 1st 3 years. People thought we were abnormal.

Remember when you had to have a camera to take a picture?
Remember when you could get an "instant" picture if you waited 60 seconds? If it didn't come out good, you could take another, but you only had 10 chances in one pack.
If you had a cordless phone at home, you were high tech.
I played Pacman until my thumb and wrist was numb and tingled.
Mario Bros. was another fav.
Back then Lionel trains needed wires.
You had to wait for the paperboy to bring you the paper instead of reading it on-line.
You had to look on a map to see how far your vacation trip would be.
The times. they are achangin.
It's exciting..........And scary.

Thanks guys. I've been feeling a little old for a while, and you've all just made me feel like a Spring Chicken!
Call Waiting? Oh yeah, we had that. Cable TV? Had it before I was ten years old.
I do remember things like getting our first color TV (I think I was five), our first microwave (I had to teach my mom how to use it), listening to WLS late at night, and walking to and from school. Oh yeah, and my dad still has the same phone number as we did all those years ago.
Dang. Maybe I'm not that young after all!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
ok guy's you just had to keep on didn't ya?

I remember the FIRST interactive tv cartoon. (black and white of course)
There was this little stick man who walked along until he came to the edge of a clift. The other side was too far for him to jump across. You had to take this crayon and draw a bridge on your tv screen for him to walk across. (piece of static cling film) After drawing , he'd hustle across and go about his merry way until the next obstruction. Any one remember the name of this character?

I think it was Winky Dink.
