Nice!
Hip roof goes well with the house. Looks like a staining job coming up in the spring.
Thanks and OMG yes, I need to do a search of who all is in driving distance for the garage staining party, of course I will have to just advertise free beer and steak to get them here but when they arrive.......
It will happen..... I'll be commin over for a visit..... Keep in mind it will be against my wifes wishes though.... For some reason she has in her head that we might be a bad influence on each other. I can't imagine where in the heck she is commin from...... Musta been somethin you said!...... Either way I still think the garage is commin along great and I can't wait to see the last few pics of when stuff is sitten in it. I just wish I would be there the day you tell Suzy "Honey were outta room........"
She just read this, she says shes already been warned that it will happen.
Whats this bad influence stuff, I have no idea what you could possibly be talking about.

Are the horns showing, she didn't see the horns did she?

Go to CAC and look what 67 Heaven wrote today on the Ultimate Garage post.

That was pretty funny bro. Although "Honeybunches" did make me throw up in my mouth just a little.......
.
But, I do have to tell ya you have to lose the mini barn now.... It doesn't fit the big building ambiance that you have going.....

I just bought that mini barn!
I got it so I would have a place to store "her" stuff and the lawn equiptment so it doesn't end up in my garage. You never see it unless you get at just the right angle, the leaves on the trees and the house hides it from and view except from the lake. The fish aren't complaining

But then again I could wait a year or two and ask for another garage for the lawn equiptment

I thought THAT was the new "dog/bunk house"...!!!

Only someone from North Carolina would put a bed in a garage...!!!

The doors are on, the framing has passed inspection and the contractor is paid in full. I have to wire it and get a final inspection.

New pic.s on the last page of this link.
It might be a while but as I do more things to the Garage I will add pic.s to the site, stay tuned.

Scott.....
My neighbor just built a 36X48 building somewhat like yours, three car garage plus a big woodworking shop in the rear. He can have a floor drain for his bathroom as long as it's tied into the septic system of the house. If anything toxic get poured down it, his septic system will be killed and he will have mega-buck repairs.
Also, he is a commercial builder and he installed painted metal barn siding on the ceiling. I asked him if that metal wouldn't be a bit noisey and he said that it probably would except he put 6" of rock wool insulation on the attic side of it and that seems to take care of the noise quite nicely. He heats the whole place.....Hmmmm.....all this is just food-for-thought of course.
My building is 32X32. In it I have my 78SA in a heated plastic work cocoon, my F150 truck, fishing boat, three cords of firewood, Lawn & garden tractor w/ yard cart, sprayer, spreader, roto tiller, aerator, chainsaws, ladders, workbench and a loft that's full of ?????.
Point being....your smart to keep the lawn equipment out of the main building....it's messy....

It really can take over!
I tried all the angles on the drain, the only way they would let me do it is with an oil separator and then into a separate tank. It then has to be periodically pumped and the soil tested around it costing several thousands of dollars , just for a floor drain in a garage..

The metal roof would look good if its done right, I think I would maybe drywall and then cover it with the metal and fill it with insulation overhead.
A bit much for me though. I am trying to stay away from the pole barn look and as silly as it sounds , I can't put the Vettes in the living room so I thought I would bring the living room to them.
