What is everyone paying for gas in their part of the country. Cheap gas here in Tampa, FL is 1.69 and up. My 82 likes high test and it is 1.89 for Mobil. I have received e-mails to boycott Exxon and Mobil (same co). I have had the best luck on on my vehicles with their gas. |headscratch| What about it?

Quit buying someone's gas ? What good is that going to do ? Someone else needs it. Gasoline is mixed and refined at different refinery's in the U.S.
It gets to their storage tanks. Then the tanker trucks pull up and fill up, the refined product gets to the end user, we make the purchase, burn it out.
These storage tanks are owned or leased by, Exxon-Mobil,Hess, Shell, Standard Oil, etc., etc.
We are all buying the same gas, no matter whose name is on it. The retail operators say it gets different formulations at the pump.
Look for Shell prices to rise quickly, as they have just set aside $2.5 Billon for new oil exploration.
Boycott ? They could care less, and I am one that will pay $3.00+ per gallon for 93 Octane, and so will you.
Who has the best gas ? My vote goes to Shell.

regular on my side of Cleveland is about 1.79/gal. haven't had to buy gas for my car since October, but is usually 20 cents more a gallon than regular. my 79 L82 seems to run best on Sunoco 92 octane

Gas in Washington D.C. is $1.81 for Premium 93 Octane.

Let's put some pressure on the Libs in Congress to open up drilling in the good old USA so we can tell those ingrates around the world that we no longer need their oil! Then we will see how fast prices drop.

This will also create some high paying jobs in the US.

Besides I think President Bush and his team are going to go and read the riot act to Saudi Arabia among others and tell them open the spigot or you are on your own when Iran announces that they have Nukes!

Then of course don't forget that at least here in MD the total tax on a gallon of gas combined with Federal is approaching 40 cents and they want more!

Think about this. The government makes more than all the other entities profit and the oil companies actually do the work in bringing gas to market. Go figure!

Think about the last time any new refinery has been built here in the US. The NIMBYs and wackos take everyone to court and we all pay and pay and pay....

I feel better now let me go contribute to global warming. I hate snow and cold anyhow!
