Well I've been dreaming about going to a auto race for years now.  Lets see what would be the "THE GREATEST SPECTACLE IN RACING" ?

Mark, sounds like you might be going to the Indy 500 (you lucky dog!!).   If so, maybe you could take your Pacer and see if you could do a few laps.   That would be like a dream come true.  Or, as long as we're dreaming, you could try to get them to let you be the actual pace car in the race.   Ok, time to wake up now.  Wink  LOL

Ya baby, we're going to the Indy 500

Bought two tickets tonight and also bought these Passes.  I hope to get up close and personal with the 2008 Corvette Pace Car Big%20smile

I'm flying into Chicago Sat. the 24th, Mike (mkapp7879) is picking me up at the airport and then we are driving down to Indy on Sunday for the race.

Sorry Larry, bringing the Pacer is not an option Unhappy

You guys behave and have fun. It will be an awsome experience for you if you have never attended. From past experiences I would bring these little hidden extras... Sunscreen, ear plugs, trash bag (raincoat). These items don't take up much space but sure can increase your comfort level!

Thanks Larry, thats some good info Thumbs%20Up  The two seats that we have are under cover in the Paddock Penthouse, I was wondering about the earplugs though.

I think we might be trying to put a mini get together on Monday night for a meal and maybe a beer somewhere in the area, whats your thoughts?

I would still plan on the trash bag... You will still get wet under the Paddock. Besides if it blows up a rain no matter where you are at the track you are moving to get inside someplace better. Just my .02.

Dinner works for me... I live an hour from Indy so unless something unforseen comes up I should be able to drive up.

Marion (Eurodesk & Marshall (Manget1) live in Indy. They might be able to make it.Tuxblacray2008-04-30 07:37:27
