Well looks like our special tour of the museum is a bust. I talked to the director's secretary today and she told me they are moving their 78 Pace Car to a special display at the track for the race. I still don't even know if Pace Car #1 is still there either. It was for the unveiling of the '08 Pace Car. I'm still planning on going to the museum on Monday though

Good morning Mark! It's a beautiful day in central IN. Race day is forecast for 82 and dry.
Sorry about your not being able to get to see the '78 at the museum. The lady that I've worked with at the museum is Ms Ellen Bireley. She is the IMS museum director. A few years ago I worked with her to get the loan of the Cummins Indy racer for a show at our plant in NY. Pretty neat to have the 1931 #8 Dussie for the weekend. I got to sit in and steer it into and out of our plant.
I suspect that they are all quite busy with the weekend activities.
Grandaughter Caroline just arrived for the weekend. She's busy watching Baby Einstein - Meet the Orchestra - right now.
Several of our club members went to the track yesterday for Community Day. For $7 you get to do several things and take a lap around the track in your car.

Well I'm off at 2:30 pm tommarow for Chicago, getting up a 1 am for work so its gonna be a long day for me. See some of you in Indy on Monday.
