Sorry, I was talking in a general term. It is all part of the 465 loop. Yes I-65 S to exit 114 (Martin Luther King Dr.) Martin Luther King Dr. becomes N. West St. which goes right by the convention center / new fieldhouse.

If you continue on to Michigan St you will be at the IUPUI Lot 73 pick up zone for INDYGO

On street parking is available for free on the weekends. There are some PARKING LOTS nearby.Tuxblacray2008-05-05 06:02:49

Cilrah,  you'll go into information overload as you move ahead in this month of May.  I stayed up late (for me) last night watching opening day coverage recap. The rookies seemed to get right at it with speeds almost up to 220.
They did a bit on Graham Rahal.  Looks like he has a Ron Fellows edition Vette.  Have to start somewhere!
We've been to several 500s as well as the first and last F1 races.  It's always something special, but the big 500 crowd gets alittle too much at times.

Take care

Mark,  no activity at the track for the past two days due to rain.  Might get some running in tomorrow prior to start of qualifying on Saturday afternoon.  Marco is hot right now with 226 top speed so far.

Take care

Good evening!  Everything was pretty much rained out today with exception of short bit near the closing time.  I think they ran for 30 minutes or so.  Seem to recall that some 29 cars got out.  I may be off on that number.  Top speed was around 223.
Rain in the forecast for the weekend.  Not good as now they have to squeeze in qualifying for positions 12-33 and any possible bumping.
For several years I was able to buy tickets from one of the guys I worked with. His Dad had kept upgrading his tickets over the years.  Seats were in paddock stand directly in back of the flagman's stand.  We were in line with the yard of bricks.  I was transferred to upstate NY along the way,  son and I made the drive a couple times, but finally gave the seats back to their owner.

Take care
GaryC

Thats pretty cool Mark!Thumbs%20Up  My Nephew has my tickets.  (I hope)  Like you said earlier, there will only be 300,000 people there, so maybe we will run into each other.  I have no idea where the seats are.  He (My Nephew) and my brother have up graded their tickets for years, so they should be pretty good.  (Whatever that means)

I'm looking forward to seeing the pace cars. --  C6's.
