The doctors said she is not ready. The insurance company says it's time.
Bottom line.....SHE'S HOME, SHE'S HOME, SHE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I say...SHE'S HOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After three months and two days in the hospital, she came home last Thursday night.
It's not easy. With only two small steps into the back door, I had to build a ramp from the driveway to the door. I had to build a support to raise her chair so she can get in and out of it. I bought special equipment for the bathroom. I modified and rearranged things in our small house so she can get around a bit.
She can walk a short way with the walker. And she has fallen several times. The last three days, no falling. Last night we went to the grocery store. It takes about 15 minutes to get out of the house and into the minivan, and another 15 back. It's the electric riding cart at the store. But we got out. The second night she was home, Friday, we went to Applebee's. It was a major effort for both of us. I never thought going to dinner would be so much work. But it was worth it.
My daughter and I as well as my wife are about exhausted. Keeping her going is VERY hard work. But that's fine with me. Our 30th wedding day didn't know if she would live through the night. And now she is back with me. All the extra work and effort is well worth it. She's worth it. One day soon I will even get some more work done on the vette.
SHE'S HOME, SHE'S HOME, SHE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter was always home. Combine that with the special chair to raise seat height and the seat isn't an issue.
That special seat chair is a PAIN
to deal with, but necessary.
Did I metion?.....SHE'S HOME!
