The first thing that Castro did in Cuba was to take away all the firearms from the civilians. Look what it got them. As an NRA life member, certified firearms/home defense instructor, God fearing, flag waving American, there's no room in my heart for any compromise. For those that are afraid of Gov. confiscation (this rumor has been around for years) and think about bury them for future use, All I can say is, that if that were to happen, then it's not the time to bury them, but the time to dig them up instead.

The Boy Scouts have the right motto: "Be Prepared"

You folks in the good ol U.S.A. should just look north to Canada and see what a spectacle our gun laws have come to. We spent billions to set up a long gun registry(hand guns always had to be registered) and now we  spend millions each year to maintain it. It turned out to be a political flop and now no one wants to dismantle the monster. Unfortunately Toronto continues to have major murders each week and the sad part is that long guns don't figure into the equation. They are all pistols that were either stolen or imported and not registered. We Canadians do love to have our governments  tax us via  such ridicules laws. But that's why we are Canadian!

Thx for the vent
