I posted this question because I know sometimes I fit into the "no tolerance" catagory, but today it was directed at me over something I couldn't control. I was driving home on a little highway with one car in front of me and two behind me. Approaching my driveway I put my blinker on and began to brake. I started blinking and braking far in advance 1) because I always do for safety and 2) I just replaced my brakes and I want to make sure I'll stop. Anyway, I was at a near stop and waiting for one car to go by so I could turn when I look in the rearview to see the lady behind me practically on my car, she swerved at the last second and proceeded to give me a lot of horn and very much attitude as I was pulling into my driveway. Let's just say much more than one needed!! So I get out of my car and checked my blinker and sure enough I guess my back bulb isn't flashing anymore. Ok, I understand why I'd get a beep, but I had no idea it stopped working. Did I really need the attitude as well, especially since if she was paying attention she could have realized I was slowing down for a driveway since its the only one around and it was still light out. I just wish we could be a little more tolerant to others because some mistakes aren't caused by human error. Just had to share that. Are you tolerant or not? I'll try and be more tolerant myself now.... and I'll be replacing my bulb tomorrow.

If I was a car behind you, well, you're a Vette owner, so I'd most likely stop and tell you that it was out. lol I've stopped all kinds of cars, rods, customs, trucks, etc to let them know there's something wrong. I don't know why someone would get that mad over what happened. Maybe she was just having a really bad day.

Don't sweat it. i see this everyday in my job and trust me, she probably drives like that all of the time. Sooner or later, she will cream the rear of someone and learn her lesson. Now, don't flame me, I don't want to see anyone get hurt nor do I wish an accident on anyone. It is inevitible that this will happen, it is the law of physics.
just glad to see that you are a safe driver and take your own precautions. We need more guys like you out there to ofsett the BS drivers.

Hey, this is the second time I've read you referring to your job... What do you do? I'm assuming you're in some sort of law enforcement position? But then you were talking about kids too I think... *shrug* just a thought :)

Hey guys, take a look at this, tell me what you think
Dear God,
Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a
single mother who worked nine hours that day and was rushing home to
cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious
moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man
who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college
student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not
getting his student loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the
same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to
addictions we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through
the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this
moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got last week,
this will be the last year they go shopping together.
Most Merciful, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the
greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we
hold dear. Open our hearts not just to those who are close to us but to all
humanity. Let us be slow to judgment and quick to forgiveness and patience
and empathy and love.

Thank you, I think we all needed to read that and more importantly, try to remember that. One thing about old people, I always watch out for them. They are harmless.

Wow, talk about a reality check. I am probably as guilty of road rage as anyone. I try not to tailgate anyone, but when everyday on my way home, cars and trucks pull out of an offramp across 2 lanes of traffic right in front of me, I just lose it. And then the idiots that refuse to travel in the right hand lane so that faster traffic can pass..
Sorry. Just one of my pet peeves, since what they are doing is a traffic violation, but no cops ever watch this road, even though a number of people have been killed there. State blames the township and the township blames the state. it is a no win situation.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
The ones that get to me are those who drive next to someone 10 mph under the speed limit, and will not move over. A close second place is a tailgater.

I think that people in CA are afraid to drive alone or something. They always travel in little packs....kinda like dogs. In fact, at that point they are dogs! Slow old one's! Usually on their dam cell phones! I try not to talk and drive. Why can't they? Anytime I see someone coming up fast, I get out of the way before they even get close so not to ruin their nice run. I've got no problem with that. He would though if I didn't move over. They think that just because you've got 4 lanes, use them all at 65! Doh! Please, get the hell out of the fast lane if you're doing under 75! Geeeezz. It takes long enough to get anyplace around here without those morons taking all the lanes and going 65. Then the rest that want to run end up cutting traffic in the slower lanes which I don't like to do that much.
