Off to Vegas for a much needed long weekend. I haven't had more then 2 days off since last July, so it's time to give my brain a break from work. My parents are watching our son so we can have some grown up fun and not have to worry about him. It's hotter then hell there right now, but the casinos have air and the drinks are cold. Wish me luck! |thumb| |cheers|

I go there every year on business. Make sure to catch the latest show. If your by the hilton ride the star trek experience. If your by new york, new york ride the roller coaster. They also have one of the largest and coolest video arcades I have ever seen. I also suggest taking a drive out to Hoover Dam and take the Dam tour. Also go for a climb at Red Rock. If you are going to romance the wife take her on the canal ride at the venitian. Also go watch the show at treasure island. Take a trip down to old las Vegas and watch the light show above the board walk Its really cool.

I can go on and on, but one thing I always do is gamble slow because the drinks are free while your spending money. |biggrin|

Good news. Have fun.

I was only in Vegas once, and that was business. I gambled a total of 5.00 and got 3.85 back. Real high roller. I wish I could have seen the sights, but alas.

Have a great time - hope you have good luck like I did this past weekend at the casino!

Was playing Caribbean Stud and got 4 8's and the dealer qualified! $1400.00 payout - woo hoo!

Can't exactly retire on that, but sure was nice to leave a casino with more in my pocket than when I walked in!

Have a BLAST!

Had a great time...we came back with more money then we left with, so that was a bonus. We used to head out there every two months before our son was born. That town means a lot to my wife and I...we got engaged at the Venetian and got married at Paris (no Elvis was not a part of it). It's only about 4 hours from here, so it's an easy getaway. Saw the Blue Man Group for the second time which was killer and hit a bunch of the casinos. I also went to the Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace (which I've gone to about a dozen times) and they had a '71 Corvette LS-6, documented and restored. The only problem was that instead of painting it the correct green it was sprayed red. Here's a link so you can see it - http://www.autocollections.com/index.cfm?key=1275&action=details&tab=inventory |thumb|

I had fun at all the places mentioned, and if you like riding jet skis, take a ride to a town called Laughlin and you can rent the jetskis on the Colorodo River. The town itself has smaller casinos but its a "cool" diversion for a day. |idea|
