To all of my fellow members,
I urge you to watch a very important Dateline on NBC tonight!
It concerns body armor that the Army has issued our Soldiers that is inferior to commercially available body armor!
There will be an interview included with three fathers of Soldiers with our thoughts on this problem and I am one of them! The two other fathers have Sons in Iraq now and my youngest Son is getting ready to go back soon for his second tour!
Also there will a detailed side by side compartive test of the current body armor used by our military "Interceptor" and a vastly superior body armor named "Dragon Skin"!
As I said. Dragon Skin is vastly superior, but the Army has banned it and when they tested it, the test was done with so much bias and conducted so unprofessionally as to make it Dragon Skin fail the test! Believe me the facts are there to support this!

Dateline will go in depth on this matter and cannot be missed! There is too much to list here about this subject, but you will get full details tonight!
Per the Pentagons own leaked study, Soldiers have died that did not have to die! This must be stopped and you can help! After watching tonight's Dateline, Call or email your Congressperson and Senators and demand a full investigation into the body armor issued to our Troops and Dragon Skin!
Believe me it will make a difference!

I am familiar with Dragon Skin. It is a superb armor. I will definitely watch the program and will email my Congrssional Delegation. One of our Senators is a reservist.

I just got thru watching it, even tho I hadn't seen this thread before. Seems to me that Brig. General had a snotty attitude towards being questioned about why the military had "banned" use of the Dragon Skin. Then he states that it "failed miserably" in their testing. Problem is, they banned it before it was even tested. Sounds like some "back-scratching" goin on in Washington...(theres a shock, eh?)

You are exactly right about the General!
The Army banned Dragon Skin before testing it! But how did they know that it was "no good" before they tested it? Hmmm!
Oh ya! The General was not there when all of this happened (good excuse) and Oh ya, They did not let their own US Army Dragon Skin expect attend the test!
That makes sense and sounds fair and reasonable?
You would think that the Army spokesman on this, would know all the facts!
I think it is worse than back scratching, I think is down right lies and deciet, and have resulted in needless deaths of Soldiers and Marines!!
With a fair test Dragon Skin is the best!

Planning on watching it tonight as soon as its on. After spending 23 yrs in the Army I'm all for anything that will protect out childern over there. I will write my congressmen and or senator after I watch it.
