Both hands on wheel, eyes shut, both feet on brake, quivering in terror: Ohio, but driving in CALIFORNIA

Both hands in air, gesturing, both feet on accelerator, head turned to talk to someone in back seat: ITALY

One hand on 12 oz. Double shot latte, one knee on wheel, cradling cell phone, foot on brake, mind on radio game, banging head on steering wheel while stuck in traffic: SEATTLE

I'm from the People's Republic of Maryland, where the unofficial state motto is "If you can dream it, we can tax it!"

As far as Maryland drivers go..."What speed limit?", "What's a turn signal?".

Living in Jersey now...yea...my mom almost cried when I skipped across 5 or so lanes of NJ Turnpike to make an exit in less than 1/10th of a mile (half that?) at 85....

Formerly from Maryland...and the drivers there are very random...Jersey you can predict the worst imaginable thing at the worst possible moment and be right on 90% of the time.  In MD...my worst imaginings don't compare to some of the drivers...who then have to be contrasted with the perfect drivers...who just get in the way in the end.

Where the SOUTH will rise again (politically correct???) I’m driving in Atlanta Georgia where you keep two things in mind; 1) pass with caution as driver may be chewing tobacco, and 2) if you can’t fit under a semi trailer, you better have enough power to go around it!   Oh… speed limit….. what speed limit?

Upstate NY, where if I have to wait for more than one signal light change, there is way too much traffic here.

I grew up driving in N.J ,moved to Los Angeles late '80's ,now in Sarasota Florida got 3 speeding tickets in first 6 months living here  nobody does the speed limit here they do 25 mph less the limit  Hard to used to !
