Hot Wheels, as well as Matchbox, and others, often package cars in the same package, but with different colors, or wheels. I have 4 different versions of a '63 Corvette Hot Wheels, but they all have different wheels, and one has rubber tires. They are all in the exact same package.
There are also about 35 different versions of the '58 'Vette hot Wheels car.
If the car you found today has the black stripe on it, I have that one. There is also a dark red/maroon one like it.

btw...the "7/38" on the package means it is #7 of 38 cars in the series.

You gonna remember that this hotwheel is in Texas.

Actually, HW did put out a set of "Collector" cars, a few years back, and one of them was/is an 80. There were different colors of those, too. I have a black, and a red one, if I remember correctly...

Also, the Johnny Lightning series has a couple of different 80/82 cars, in different colors, as well as the Collector Edition '82.

You might find one of those on e-may, or a garage sale...
