Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks. #2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
Ok.....I found a Hot Wheels (small scale) '69 Corvette BB Riverside Gold die cast car at Wally World.  I was at a Matel Store today and I found the same model, same car, package reads the same as the one with the Gold car but the difference is the car is "pearl white".  Is this a "foo-pa" or has anyone else seen a "pearl white" one like this? 7/38 scale????
Hot Wheels, as well as Matchbox, and others, often package cars in the same package, but with different colors, or wheels. I have 4 different versions of a '63 Corvette Hot Wheels, but they all have different wheels, and one has rubber tires. They are all in the exact same package.
There are also about 35 different versions of the '58 'Vette hot Wheels car.

If the car you found today has the black stripe on it, I have that one. There is also a dark red/maroon one like it.

btw...the "7/38" on the package means it is #7 of 38 cars in the series.Adams' Apple2007-03-22 20:52:38

Is that '69 Riverside Gold a coupe or convertible? If it's a vert, I have to find one to go with my car.

So, do they have any of the '80 version that aren't the ugly yellow with the red stripe?

I think there is one that is Red, with an ugly yellow stripe...would that do?

Actually, HW did put out a set of "Collector" cars, a few years back, and one of them was/is an 80. There were different colors of those, too. I have a black, and a red one, if I remember correctly...

Also, the Johnny Lightning series has a couple of different 80/82 cars, in different colors, as well as the Collector Edition '82.Adams' Apple2007-03-23 09:58:49

Matchbox has one labeled as a '74, but it is just a generic Shark car. The only die-cast 74 I know of is the one from Action(Zora Signature Series), and Franklin Mint. The FM car, you had to buy the entire 50 car set to get it...
You might find one of those on e-may, or a garage sale...
