Have a handkerchief handy. If you can view this without crying, you must have a heart of stone. Whether you are a woman or a hard core man, whether you are for or against the Iraq war, regardless, this will definitely wet your cheeks and pierce your heart. Every American should view this video so please pass it on to all on your list. I don't believe one person will be offended.

The Soldier Memorial is a very moving ceremony. It dates to the times of Sparta, when after battle they would call a roll using names written on small pieces of wood (DOG TAGS). An unanswered name is called three times before the Soldier is considered killed in action. I hate to say it, but I have participated in too many of these ceremonies lately.

And unfortunately, every soldier and marine memorialized is one too many at this point. Time to bring them all home!!! LukesVette 2007-02-23 07:25:55

MARINES NEVER QUIT, LET THEM FINISH THEIR BATTLE!!
I was a navy hospital corpsman, I was detached to the 1s/t Marines as a medic in Chulai, Vietnam in 1968-69. When I heard the words "corpsman up" I new what I had to do and I did it. We traded blood for this country as brothers. Navy yes, but forever I will be a United States Marine and dam proud of it. MARINES NEVER QUIT, SEMPER FI.
