Actually, if you've ever seen one of the Zimmer kit cars that look like the old Mercedes SSK, that's how they do them. You use two late '80s Musturds for doners. One car is the actual car, and then you take the front end of the second car and weld the front suspension/uniframe right onto the front end of the main car. The engine stays in the correct location on the main car, and the front end of the second car carries all of the actual suspension for the Zimmer....they look goofy as heck from underneath....but it is basically the exact same thing Cousin Red did in this video, just with a different car(s)...and less tape
