Scot,
1) HOKIES DO RULE!!!
2) I found out how to do it on my truck and did it last night. It was pretty quick and easy. All I did was cut the wire for the fuel pump and then ran two leads to a switch hidden in my truck. Now when I put it in the off position, it'll sound like its going to start, but usually doesn't. It did start a few times due to gas still in it, but it would stall before I could even shift it into drive. I think its a very effective method against vehicle theft. I put the switch in a spot that is easy for me to get to, but at the same time a thief would have to get down to find it and then they would still have to think to flick it on. Its a very small toggle switch too.
I don't know how to do it for a C3, but if anyone has a '97 or newer F-150 I can tell you where the wire to cut is. I think due to the number of false alarms, they are not as effective anymore. I hear them going off all the time, and don't even bother to look anymore. Plus the guy I saw was in and out in thirty seconds. Even if an alarm was going off, he was too quick. So now thieves can take whatever they can find inside, but I'm pretty darn sure that when I go to my truck it'll still be there.
