Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
I would get a Z06, Black, blk int. Torch red second choice. Yellow third choice.

Not my favorite. I am partial to the Mag Red vert w/ a tan top. Of course a Mil Yellow vert w/ a black top would be nice too

I think before I buy a C5, I would wait for the C6s to come out. First to let the prices drop on the C5s and second to see what will be offered in the way of performance and colors. I think I would be looking for an automatic, probably a convertible. If I feel the need for a stick shift, I can drive my '69.
I would love to buy a new Vette. but it's just too much money. 50,000 + for Z06 or vert. Not to mention the insurance cost! I guess I'm just a poor man with good taste. But anyway to chose between the Z06 and a Convertible is no doubt tough choice. I think the Z06 will be a collectors dream in years to come, and the vert is to be enjoyed with the top down on a beautiful day.
I am currently Vetteless

We have a 2001 black/black coupe. Don't like convertibles with the top up. Arlene can't drive a manual, so that ruled out the Z06 (only manual).
She liked the silver (pewter or whatever), but we ended up getting black to match the Mako.
I have a 68 Camaro I plan on painting the new Corvette yellow (I wanted to paint it butternut yellow like my first 68 Camaro, but Arlene doesn't like it).

Vette(s): Re-acquired 1982 Bright Blue Vette from the guy a sold it to 13 years ago. 1993 40th Anniv. Ruby Convertible- purchased for my wifes 40th birthday-It has Chromed Grand Sport Wheels, Grand Sport Flares and a functional rollbar.
I have really been takin' in by the 50th Anniversary color. I'm a red and blue fan. My next Vette will either be a 96 Grand Sport or a 50th, coupe or vert makes no difference, it's still a Vette. I also want a 70-72 loaded with air in perfect condition for a song. Any takers

Vette(s): 1973 Stingray Coupe and C5 and C6 Coupes.
I'm holding out for the C6 (the Z06 equivalent of the C6) in Magnetic Red Metallic (or equivalent). I just love that color.
I find that if I sold the C3 I could get a C5. But if I wait for the C6 then that will give me some extra time to save up and I can keep the C3. My 73 has been in my family since 1973 and I don't want to ever let 'er go. So I'm holding out for a C6.
