Topic: I知 back, and so is my wife
in Forum: Humor
As many of you know I have been a bit absent for awhile. We are changing a lot of class structure and creating new presentations. The demands on my time are great. And that's just at the college. I am also taking a evening class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My wife went back into the hospital 12-23-05. About a week and a half ago she went to a nursing home. Today 1-23-06 I brought her back home.
She had a reaction to her medications which caused her to not keep any food down. Sometimes it only took seconds for everything to come back up. She was on IV feeding. They seem to have this straightened out, and she is eating a small amount again. She is very weak, and to add to it all, she has injured her left knee and can carry almost no weight on the knee. So her mobility is very limited. Her strength is also very low.
But, she has recovered enough to come home. It's going to be a very rough go for all of us. But it is actually easier (at least on my time) having her home than making the daily trip and losing several hours of my time every day. I have never missed a day when she has been in a health care facility. I always get there at least for a short time. Usually for a few hours.
The good news is now I will be back on most days. I don't expect to get caught up with all the post I have missed. That will be a first for me. So please bring anything to my attention that I may need to know or can be of assistance. I miss my C3VR family. Good to be back.

I'm really glad to hear the Missus is better, and back home. Let's hope she stays there, now! I know you must be very happy to have her back home again.
We have ALL missed you here, but we also understand the absence. We still keep your family in our thoughts & prayers.
May God(of your choice) bless you and yours.

Great to hear from you again, Ken. You've definitley been missed by your C3VR family. Glad to hear your wifes making progress. Let her know we're all thinking of her and wishing her the best.
I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
