Sorry to hear that Adam. I was laid off in January 2002. I decided that the best thing to do was to form my own company & I am slowly making enough money to pay the bills. I hope that you find something that you like doing & that challenges you.

well i also got the axe last week. GE said they couldn't justify having a couple hundred engineers sitting around doing nothing for 9 months, imagine that. Since ENRON hundreds of projects have been canceled and all the utilities all over the US have lost millions, wonder if that had anything to do with the blackout. (Tampa electric lost 300 million on the project i was overseeing) No one around here knows because i was home all the time lately, guess i'll have to get a real job now. So i was given 2 days notice to ship my laptop back if i ever wanted to see my last 3 checks. worst part of it is my wife has heart problems and i need to keep the health insurance going as she has been in 2 hospitals this month, COBRA will run about $1100 a month until i find another job. hey they still have the pep boys in bradenton and they are always looking for help. and no i don't have any plans to sell the stingray no mattter how bad it gets.
