Luke,

Well said. I for one support our troops (deployed or not), not the war. I have several friends that have served our country in Iraq and other places and have come home with similar stories as yours. You are right, its a job that someone has to do and may God bless you all you've done it as well as anyone could ask or expect. The war on the other hand was/is a pissing match between Bush and Saddam, it would be different if they found weapons of mass destruction but they haven't (nor will they). From what i understand North Korea and even Iran possed a much larger threat... then again i am not the President so i don't make the call. In regards to the "war on terror" think about this for a second, the 9/11 attacks were costly in terms of human life (not just Americans died), i believe it was 2500 people or so was the total... there are nearly 3000 AMERICANS die every year due to homelessness (starvation, staff infections etc).... With that in mind and our obligation to liberate Iraq don't you think that charity should start @ home?

Well enough of my opinions... they don't seem to matter anyway.

God bless America... land of the brave |saluteflag|

Tom

PS. If they really wanted to get the war over with i belive they should kick all the media out of Iraq and let the military handle their business. In my opinion its the media that helps tie our service men's (and women's) hands behind their back. We need to learn if we are going to fight a war where the enemy dictates the rules of engagement then we should be able to fight by those rules also.... just my $.02

Very well said. However, America on the oter hand has a lot of oppertunities to help the homeless. Also go look at how many military units,a nd American's we lsot in Pearl Harbor. Those bastards even went into the towns and killed people. Look at me I'm turning 17 and I have a job which pays $7.75/hr It's not that hard. The pissing match is over, saddam lost. but there are insurgents that would fight on American soil, and attack the Iraqi people which need to be taken care of before we leave. Screw the media, they should not be there anyway. But did north Korea, or Iran attak us? Nope. Saddam has been in bed with Osama from the beginning. Hell he even gave the Alquda money. YOu obviously know he did something wrong, this dude was hiding in the ground! Not to mention the video/audio files of Saddam, and Osama. The weapons of mass destruction came from 'reliable sources' they obviously messed up, not the Bush Administration. But think about this: We had every probable cause to attack him since Saddam did not let the UN in to see the 'weapons of mass destruction' before the war, and still fought about it while in the war. WTF? Think about it?????? Hello????? Russia, and Korea ahve been collecting nukes and etc.... and have stockpiles, I guess they are next.....
