Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses. 2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
I finally got an iPod about a month and a half ago and have just been too busy to get anything loaded on it.  I have well over 400 CD's, as well as about 30 Gigs of mp3 files that I have been building up for some time.

Now that I'm finally starting on loading music, what I'm finding is that loading my mp3 files is not as simple as I would have imagined.  iTunes doesn't seem to want to neccessarily recognize the songs and the "drag and drop" method into the iTunes folder doesn't seem to get the songs recognized in iTunes either.

Any help out there?  I got an 80GB iPod so I would be sure to have enough room.  Just loading CDs so far (not quite halfway through my collection - I'm through the "J's"), I've got over 1,000 songs and 5.8 GB.

I can't wait to get everything loaded!  The iPod is also going to replace the CD changer in the Vette, so it means even more.  I found a wireless remote at the store last week that clips to the steering wheel.  This should allow me to not have to use the "line of sight" remote that came with the stereo.

I also like the i Tunes store since I've been able to get a few choice songs that I've searched for over the years and just haven't been able to find.

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Marshall,

I've been using CONTROL + O to add my music files to my I-Tunes directory.

Once I-Tunes is open Press Control & the "O" letter key.  This can also be done by going to the FILE menu & clicking on ADD FILE to LIBRARY.

Then choose your song & I-Tunes adds it to its directory.

Good luck,
Anthony
