I would tell them to try a rehab thing in the hospital.  Looks like a workout room and I know they have them in some hospitals........don't hurt to ask.  Maybe it would help get her startin to walk again.  But I don't know the whole situation......just a suggestion.  Give her a big Hug for me Jethro, opps, I mean Joel....! Well, after several days of being totally lost in space...Mother is doing better. She was up and around a bit today, and actually making sense when she talked.
I found out today that she never had pneumonia, as I was told last week...
She is doing a little better, tho, but still having a lot of pain. Now, somehow, she has some kind of "Blood fungus"...HUH? How did this happen? "We don't know..."

Anyway, they are sending her to a rehab facility this week sometime. She doesn't really want to go, but, it will be better for her in the long run, we think.

My brother drove up today, to try to get my Dad to go back home for a few days, and get his shoulder looked at back home. My dad had fallen at the hospital the same day they admitted my mother, and hurt his shoulder really bad. He hasn't wanted to go have a DR. check it out, because of the situation with my mother.

Thanks for all the well wishes, and support from C3VR...youse guys ROCK!

Joel, I don't know if your father fell because of an accident or just lost his balance, but you might have him checked for signs of a stroke.  My 87 year old mother had problems with falling and we found out that she had had a series of small strokes, which eventually took away some of her ability to walk and talk.  Don't want to scare you, but just let you know what might happen.  Also, my mother went through physical rehabiltation at a care center and it did help her regain a lot of her strength.

Good luck and God bless.  We're still praying for your mother and all of your family.

A blood fungus?  What are these folks doin' in this hospital??  Sounds like a bunch of idiots work there.  I didn't like the hospital when I was in there, but I had a really good smart surgeon if ya need his name.  Get your dad to have an x-ray at the hospital.  They should do it for "FREE" since he fell there......get my drift???

Thanks, ya'll.
My dad is still recovering from the heart attacks, and cancer surgery. He just hasn't been the same. He has fallen several times, and says he's not gettin dizzy or anything, his legs just "up & quit" on him.
Between that, and the worrying himself sick about Mother, he's just not having a easy time of it at all.

"Free"..."Hospital"??? What's wrong with that thought? The only thing you get "Free" at a hospital is sick.

(Sorry if any of ya'll are medical professionals...no offense meant.)

Joel, sorry to respond so late. Glad to hear your mom is doing better, hopefully this will get your dad back on track and feeling better. They need to be taken care of, like we take care of corvettes. God Bless to you and your family. Dick and Jill
