Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
I just have been needing to share this and didn't know what forum to put it in, so it is here that I will start, some is good some not so good. Got word from the shop I took vette to for a good lookin' over, they lubed, checked, oil change flush, etc, and said everything looked good for the trip to C.C.  They also think they FINALLY, found my wiper door issue.

My wife and daughter have been testifying at the capitol during this last session for a very big bill to be made into law, well they helped get it passed, and this last wednesday, the 2nd, they were next to the Governor when she sign it into law, and gave the pen to my daughter Lacey.

I found out about a month ago that I have a hollow spot in my spinal cord, and that there is nothing they can do about except to treat the pain it causes over the right shoulder area, so I am taking all sorts of nerve pills until we find what is going to work for the rest of my life, I guess that 20 years old moped and a fifth of whiskey accident is coming back to haunt me.

Anyway, not looking for any feedback just wanted to share with the family. hoping that the nerve thing does not affect the ride in the vette, guess we will find out on the drive to carson.

Thanks for listening.

Larry,
I hope everything works out for you. I know that must be sort of scary and painful. I wish there was something that we could all do for you. On a better note, you should and I am sure you are very proud of your wife and Lacey. Passing a new law is a monumental task. I know, I have been in that process a few times in the past couple of years. I am sure Lacey is very proud and has the signature pen as a keepsake. Good luck with everything. We are here if you need us.

Scott

Wow Larry that is some great and not so great news.  Me and Pam are really happy for Lacey and what she has accomplised Clap That really is a monumental task you all took on and followed all the way through to the siging of the new law.

As far as your back goes, I feel your pain.  I injured my back in 1993 and it has bothered me from then on.  Even long drives in a regular car to Seattle to pick up my son at college really hurts.  I'm with you in hoping we both make the journey to CC in as little pain as possible.

I'm also hoping my Pacer comes outta my check up at Corvette and High Performance as well as yours did Thumbs%20Up I'll soon find out.

Hang in there Larry...you've got a great wife, and an awesome child there!!
Life don't always turn out the way we think it should. It's what you do with what you GOT that makes it worth it all.
Congrats to the Ladies of the House!

them old injuries can be the worst but with all the good things coming about for your daughter this is just another hurdle to cross, which i have no doubt you will get past. my prayers and well wishes are there for your daughter, for you, and your wife.

Congratulations on the healthy Vette and the passage of the law!  That's quite an accomplishment.

Hope the doctors are able to find a way to ease you're back/shoulder pain!

I feel your pain Larry.  Mine is an old Military injury from a training accident.  A bit further down my spine than yours.

My advice?  Live every day as if it's your last and use the medication when needed while listening to your quack.  I drive my Vette as much as possible and work on it as well.  Some days this aint possible but my wife looks after me (and vice versa) and life is good.

Great news about the law, I hope it was something that helps others.

yes it will.  It has to do with how the factors out care for people with disabilities, moving a much of little services all into one service so there should be less cracks for people to fall through, the neat part was that the elected officails and the state people wanted some sort of parent income attached to the bill, and a few of the parent groups were ready to give in but not my Dee-Dee, she fight hard, testified a lot with lacey and a few others and were able to get the bill passed the way they wanted with out the parent income. I am so proud of them. hell i should go buy them a gift wonder if a new vette would be to much, thanks to all who have supported and encourged us through out the years, only wish i could tip a toast with each and every one of you.
