Can anyone 'splain to me how the heck can I insert a document into my Fax from my 'puter?

I can send the fax, but it's only the cover page...there's no place to insert/attatch a document after the cover page. I don't really need to do faxes, but, I might want to...it sure would be easier than having to wait to get to the shop to do it...

This is on a Winders XP system, "Microsoft Fax Console". I have it set up, and it will send the cover page out...just nothing else. There's nothing in the "manual" that came with the 'puter that explains how to do it. It just bugs the crap outta me...I gotta know!!!

Joel, Check out this link.  It's Microsoft's Faxing in XP support.  I haven't tried it, but it looks like this is what you need.  Let me know if it helps.

Joel;

You should also be able to cut and paste what you are sending and the cover page into one document and select the document like you would the fax cover page to send.

It is easiest to import everything into Microsoft Word using the import feature found under the File tab.

Good Luck!

I have a FAX service at work that delivers directly to my computer and used to use it a lot.

I now have one company that sends me legimate FAXES.

All the others are spam. I'm just glad they don't go directly to a printer and waste my paper.

I do have a FAX machine at home that my wife uses for her business, but it is not hooked up to the computer. And I don't intend to hook it up.

Ya...I know I should be able to, but.... I've tried copy/pasting...it jut doesn't paste. I'll check out the MS link, and see whut they have to say fer themselves...Everything I have, document-wise, is in MS Werd...

Not really interested in receiving, just sending. The fax WILL receive if I am on-line, or I can set it to receive while in standby...

I checked the link....looks like it may have some valuable info they fergot to put in the friggin destruction manual...Thanks Biff!    Adams' Apple2008-02-18 11:45:45

Can't you just print it and then fax it?
