A Navy friend of my Dad's used to say that any landing you can walk away from was a good one. And that all carrier landings are nothing more than controlled crashes. Your tax dollars at work...!!!

My Father was a Navy pilot, and always used to say that the first rule of flying is - landings must equal take-offs.
In this case, I think the pilot was just directed to the wrong branch
of the runway (ya think?).
