I dont like Bush but I dont agree with this one...
obviously people who pay in more taxes save more
it is unfair to quote dollar figures and not percentages.
im not rich by any stretch of the imagination..
yet im saving quite a bit of money..
also my small business and many others are S-corps and/or LLC's
and S-corp or LLC is taxed as an individual. my S-corp is taxed in this top 1% bracket. I gave all my employees a raise when the tax rates dropped.
your point is compelling only when you look at it in a vacuum. when you consider the small business angle it is imperative to have this cut. small business create 65% of new jobs.. c-corp's dont benefit from this cut. c-corps are the one laying people off.

the environmental roll backs that bush and his team have effected so far amount to cancelling the executive orders clinton enacted his last day in office as a political ploy. if the democratic party for so concerned about the environment clinton would not have issued an executive order his last day in office. he would have done this the first day of his second term.
I have no love for either scumbag but I dont like spinning of the facts. I have contradicted C3R's spin and I am compelled to do the same with yours.

this figure is very old
overall 1.1 million private sector jobs have been lost.
the true figure is roughly 800,000 jobs since around 300,000 goverment jobs have been added, mostly in TSA and homeland security.

The clinton administration gave Halliburton no-bid contracts for Bosnia/Kosovo.
