Well, one of our A-10 attack aircraft is stranded at Knoxville after stopping there for fuel......
We are leaving sunday at oh-dark-thirty to go and fix what broke.. one engine will not start...
so its a road trip with me and 7 other technicians, ill be riding in a dodge 2500 stake body truck.... oh joy!!!
anyone from around the area who can offer a good place to eat, maybe a antique shop I could visit in my down time while other work is being done??
tha plane is at Mcgee-Tyson IAP and I think we are staying there at the airport....
thanks, Jim

I attended UT before transferring elsewhere. Unfortunately, good restaurants and antique shops aren't high on most college kid's lists
. That's been around 10 years ago, so I barely remember much about the area anyways (I'm not from Knoxville). You can take the road from the airport and drive to Cumberland Drive. Turn right (East) and you'll hit "the strip". It runs through campus and has quite a few restaurants on it. Turn left, and it turns into Kingston Pike. You have to drive a few miles, but there are tons of restaurants on that road.
